I am an Associate Governor and sit on the Vittoria School Committee.
I first became a governor in 2014 when I joined the governing body at EGA. I was Vice Chair when EGA first partnered with Copenhagen Primary School and was then honoured to serve as Chair of Governors of the Federation from 2015–2018.
I am a journalist and I work for BBC News. I wanted to become a governor because I have lived in Islington for many years but have always worked outside the borough and I wanted to find a way to get directly involved in my local community. Being a governor is challenging, interesting and very rewarding. It is great to be able to apply some of my professions skills in a different setting and to have the opportunity to understand the challenges facing education and to support and be inspired by the fantastic staff and students in our schools.
